Body Language and Role-Playing Workshop

The truth always lies in body language. While facial expressions and words may reflect our thoughts – what we wish to convey, the body is the mirror of emotions – it reflects the soul’s innermost desires.

The goal of the workshop is to develop awareness of body language as a non-verbal communication tool and acquire basic tools for body language interpretation. Participants actively engage in the sessions, learning techniques for working with masks especially designed for the workshop, covering the entire face to eliminate the use of facial expressions and voice. This approach helps participants focus solely on body language to help us interpret its hidden messages and signals.

The workshop is suitable for training and enrichment days in the business and public sectors, perfect for team-building activities for both the employee and managerial levels. It is especially beneficial for performing arts professionals, including teachers, therapists, managers, marketing and sales professionals, lawyers, etc.

We will acquaint ourselves with various types of movement in space and experiment in working with different imaginary props (wall, rope, balloon, etc.). This, to create a comprehensive magical theatrical world using only the actor’s body. At the end of the session, we will apply what we have learned by preparing short pantomime pieces either individually or in pairs and presenting them to the group.
